Welcome to the New ICSJ Art Blog!

Hello and welcome to the new ICSJ Art blog!

Our student artists are always hard at work and applying their creativity and problem-solving in unique and fun ways!  Please feel free to check back for updates on student work and to see the many projects we are creating.

As always, be in touch with any questions, ideas, or feedback!

A recap of early Trimester 1 (as seen on the school webpage):

Kindergarten - Kindergarteners used a variety of types of lines to create these unique watercolor paintings with oil pastel resist!

First Grade - First graders made mixed-media String Line projects!

Second Grade - Students explored the element of Line by looking carefully at the skyline of our own city.

Third Grade - Contour line has never been so much fun as when we made Shadow Line drawings in 3rd grade.

Fourth Grade - These artists created beautiful and vibrant backpack contour line drawings and added bleeding tissue paper for a unique effect.

Fifth Grade - no photos available at this time (organic line drawings to come soon!)

Sixth Grade  - Sixth grade showed their line prowess creating lovely and dynamic "Zentangle" still life drawings!  These are a fun way of doodling to relax and create contrast through line.

Seventh Grade - no photos available at this time (2-point Perspective City Drawings to come soon!)

Eighth Grade
The eighth grade learned about gesture drawing to show a figure in motion.
